SOUND OFF partners with the Citadel Theatre for “The Tempest”

SOUND OFF is proud to be a production partner with Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre for Josette Bushell-Mingo's production of The Tempest.

Josette Bushell-Mingo is the former Artistic Director of Tyst Teater, Sweden’s National Deaf Theatre from 2005-2018. The production will feature Deaf and hearing actors onstage together, a unique first for the Citadel Theatre. It will be a truly unique retelling of Shakespeare’s most dramatic - and final - script.

In Shakespeare’s fantastic tale of loss and reconciliation, a deposed ruler uses his magic to seek vengeance on those who robbed him of his throne and marooned him on a remote island. But what shape will his revenge take?

The Tempest will take place in Shoctor Theatre at Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta from April 20 to May 12, 2019.
