A panel discussion with some of the artists involved in this year’s co-production with SkirtsaFire, “Speaking Vibrations”. This unique and genre-defying production features an immersive, inclusive and multi-sensory experience in ASL song/poetry, music, rhythm tap & dance. Sound, song and story are experienced visually through projected graphics and dynamic captions, along with vibrotactile elements that allow the audience to connect with the show through vibration. Join us for a discussion on how this unparalleled production navigated its challenges and achievements.

A discussion panel with artists involved in with the Edmonton Fringe’s ASL workshop series devoted to discovering new ways in which Deaf artists can work together with interpreters to improve accessibility and engagement for themselves and for Deaf and hearing audiences alike. The discussion will focus on the discoveries and insights gained over the previous sessions, the goals for the future and how this work will be shared widely at its completion.
